Last Friday on sunny Saturday morning, I saw a little stray dog at the park while jogging. He had a scruffy coat and sad eyes and Hungry Face. I had seen him before, but today he looked extra lonely. As I sat on a bench with my coffee, he came closer, sniffing the air. I offered him some of my sandwich, and he Immediately gobbled it up, wagging his tail happily.
Next, I went to the pet store. They had a sale on dog food, so I got a good-sized bag of kibble for 20 dollars. I also found a small, soft blanket for 10 dollars to make Buddy’s bed more comfortable.
The Temporary Birthday Party :
With my supplies, I returned to the park where Buddy stayed. I picked a spot under a big oak tree and started setting up. I hung the streamers from the tree branches, making it look festive. I laid out the blanket and placed the toys around it. Buddy watched me with curious eyes, wagging his tail.

The best part of the day happened when an elderly man from the neighborhood approached us. He told me he had been looking for a dog and had seen Buddy before. He asked if he could adopt Buddy and give him a loving home. I felt so happy. This was the best gift Buddy could get—better than any toy or treat.
I spent the last of my budget, about 30 dollars, on a vet check-up for Buddy. The vet said Buddy was healthy.

As the sun set, Buddy walked away with his new owner, looking back at me with grateful eyes. I felt so good. With just 100 dollars, I had thrown a heartwarming birthday party for a stray dog and helped him find a loving home.

How I Am Planning to Adopt Him :
Even though Buddy found a new home, I couldn’t stop thinking about him. I missed his wagging tail and happy eyes. The elderly man was kind and caring, but I realized Buddy had a special place in my heart.
I decided to visit Buddy regularly. Over time, we built a strong bond, and the man saw how much we meant to each other. He kindly offered to let me adopt Buddy if I wanted to.
I started preparing for Buddy’s arrival. I saved up money, bought a cozy bed, toys, and good food. I made sure my home was ready and safe for him. On the day I brought Buddy home, I felt excited and nervous. When I saw him running towards me with joy, I knew I made the right choice.
Buddy’s birthday celebration brought us together, and now we can make many more happy memories. Adopting Buddy was the best decision I ever made, and I look forward to giving him all the love and care he deserves.
